This $500 credit or more is in addition to one of the other programs offered by Daniel Pedroza Group when their preferred lender is used. This Public School Employee Perks Program is available for all employees regardless of tenure, income level, or position at the Public School District.

Teachers play a critical role in educating Texas children and preparing them to become productive members of society.  TSAHC’s Homes for Texas Heroes Program honors teachers for their service to Texas children and families by providing them with a low, fixed-rate home loan and a grant for down payment assistance.

To qualify for a teacher home loan under the Homes for Texas Heroes Program, you must be:

employed full-time in a Texas public school as one of the following:

• Classroom teacher
• Teacher aide
• School librarian
• School counselor
• School nurse

or, employed in a Texas college or university as one of the following:

• Allied health faculty
• Nursing faculty
